Issues of nuclear generation economy to be discussed at ATOMEXPO 2014

An expert discussion of issues related to nuclear generation economy will be discussed at the roundtable “NPP-generated electric power cost planning and optimization at design and construction stages” in the framework of the 6th International Forum ATOMEXPO on 10 June 2014.

Mr. Djurica Tankosic, Vice President, Worley Parsons, will be the roundtable moderator.

Representatives of international and Russian organizations will take part in the roundtable discussion, such as the Federal Tariff Service (FTS), Electricite de France (EDF), Empresarios Agrupados, Beijing Institute of Nuclear Engineering, Burns and ROE, NIAEP – ASE (Atomstroyexport) United Company, Rosenergoatom, etc.

The roundtable participants will discuss existing approaches to electric energy cost estimation at different stages of project life cycle, specificity of work at various markets, role of customer in kWh valuation methods, and other relevant issues.

The 6th International Forum АТОМEXPO 2014 will take place on 9-11 June 2014 in Moscow in Gostiny dvor. The State Nuclear Energy Corporation Rosatom is the organizer of the Forum. Within five years of its history, the ATOMEXPO Forum became one of central international events, at which the discussion of the most relevant issues of nuclear energy takes place and the trends for its further development are shaped.

 

 

NOTE:

The Forum was first organized in 2009 in Moscow. The jubilee 5th International Forum ATOMEXPO 2013, which took place on 26-28 June 2013 in the Mikhailovsky Manezh in St. Petersburg, united over 2 000 participants from 42 countries of the world on its platform. About 800 delegates from 275 organizations delivered presentations and reports at roundtables and panel sessions, which were devoted to the most relevant topics of nuclear energy. For the first time, the representatives of such countries as Angola, Belgium, Zambia, Yemen, Indonesia, Lebanon, and Pakistan took part in the Forum. A range of important international strategic agreements has been signed at the Forum, in particular, a cooperation agreement in nuclear sphere between the State Nuclear Energy Corporation Rosatom and foreign companies and public authorities. The work of the Forum was actively covered by representatives of Russian and foreign mass media. 153 companies took part in the exhibition ATOMEXPO 2013.
