Jacques Regaldo, WANO Chairman, sent a welcome address to the participants of the 6th International Forum “ATOMEXPO”.

In his address, Jacques Regaldo emphasized, that “the “ATOMEXPO” World Forum has served as a key international venue uniting world experts, representatives from international and state companies to openly discuss world nuclear energy development aspects for as long as 6 years”.

He also noted, that the discussion of the main in theme “Nuclear Power - Condition for Energy Stability” would allow the participants to discuss the place of nuclear generation in the “fuel basket” of individual states and analyze current customer requirements during nuclear new build project implementation, as well as to identify new directions for continued and fruitful cooperation.

In conclusion of his address, Jacques Regaldo, WANO Chairman, wished the participants comprehensive discussions and prospective development!

The 6th International Forum “ATOMEXPO 2014” will take place on 9-11 June 2014 in Moscow, in Gostiny dvor. State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM is the organizer of the Forum. Within five years of its history, the “ATOMEXPO” Forum became one of key international events that hosts discussion of the most topical issues of nuclear energy sector and forms the trends for its future development.

 

INFORMATION:

The Forum has first been held in 2009 in Moscow. The jubilee 5th International Forum “ATOMEXPO 2013”, which took place on 26-28 June 2013 in Mikhaylovsky manezh in St. Petersburg, gathered over 2 000 participants from 42 countries of the world. About 800 delegates from 275 organizations delivered presentations and reports at roundtables and sectional sessions, which were devoted to the most topical themes in nuclear energy sector. Representatives from several countries attended the Forum for the first time – e.g. from Angola, Belgium, Zambia, Yemen, Indonesia, Lebanon, and Pakistan. A range of strategic important international agreement has been signed at the Forum, in particular the cooperation agreement in nuclear sphere between the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and foreign companies and public authorities. The work of the Forum was actively covered by representatives of Russian and foreign mass media. 153 exponent companies took part in the Exhibition “ATOMEXPO 2013”.
