Participants of ATOMEXPO'2014 International Forum will Discuss Competitiveness of Nuclear Power Sector

The program of the Sixth ATOMEXPO International Forum will include a round-table discussion on the topic "Competitiveness of Nuclear Power Sector in Comparison with Other Generating Methods." 

The round-table discussion will focus on the state of affairs on the world energy market, the existing trends and tendencies, and competitive advantages for development of international nuclear power sector.

Special attention will be given to the discussion on the future of atomic power projects worldwide, including the projects implemented by Rosatom State Corporation in Turkey, Finland and Hungary.

Representatives of WNA (World Nuclear Association), French Commissariat for Nuclear Power and Alternative Sources of Energy (CEA), the Nuclear Power Sector of Rolls Royce Company, McKinsey and Company Consulting and representatives of other companies are expected to attend.

ATOMEXPO'2014, the 6th International Forum will take place on June 9-11, 2014 in Moscow, in Gostiny Dvor. The Forum is organized by Rosatom State Corporation. Over five years of its history ATOMEXPO Forum has become one of the major international events that discusses the most important topics of the nuclear power sector and trends of the sector's further development.

The Forum was first held in 2009 in Moscow. The Jubilee Fifth ATOMEXPO'2013 International Forum, which was held on June 26-28, 2013 in Mikhailovsky Manezh in St. Petersburg, brought together more than 2000 participants from 42 countries of the world. Round table discussions and section meetings were attended by some 800 delegates from 275 organizations, who gave their presentations and reports on most significant topics in the sphere of nuclear power. For the first time the Forum was attended by representatives of Angola, Belgium, Zambia, Yemen, Indonesia, Lebanon, and Pakistan. A number of strategically important international agreements were signed at the Forum, including an agreement on cooperation in the nuclear power sector between Rosatom State Corporation and foreign companies and state bodies of authority. The event was actively covered by representatives of Russian and foreign mass media. A total of 153 exhibitors took part in ATOMEXPO'2013 Exhibition.
