International partners to attend the “ATOMEXPO 2014” Forum

The 6th International Forum “ATPMEXPO” in June will traditionally become a venue for meetings of national representatives of nuclear sector from various countries. Invitations to the “ATOMEXPO” Forum are being extended to heads of state corporations, nuclear energy ministers, as well as heads of major companies of nuclear industry.

Many heads express their wishes to the Forum in their letters of appreciation. For example, Bernard Bigot, General Administrator of Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission (CEA) of France, expressed the following expectations: “I am confident that the Forum of this year will achieve new results. I wish all participants the same success as was at previous Forums”. Zsuzsanna Németh, Minister of National Development, noted in her reply: “The role of atomic energy and its development is a priority in Russian-Hungarian relations”.

The Forum participants will discuss the role and the place of nuclear generation in the 21st century, analyze main challenges and problems, and consider variants of global energy market development.

INFORMATION:

The Forum has first been held in 2009 in Moscow. The jubilee 5th International Forum “ATOMEXPO 2013”, which took place on 26-28 June 2013 in Mikhaylovsky manezh in St. Petersburg, gathered over 2 000 participants from 42 countries of the world. About 800 delegates from 275 organizations delivered presentations and reports at roundtables and sectional sessions, which were devoted to the most topical themes in nuclear energy sector. Representatives from several countries attended the Forum for the first time – e.g. from Angola, Belgium, Zambia, Yemen, Indonesia, Lebanon, and Pakistan. A range of strategic important international agreement has been signed at the Forum, in particular the cooperation agreement in nuclear sphere between the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and foreign companies and public authorities. The work of the Forum was actively covered by representatives of Russian and foreign mass media. 153 exponent companies took part in the Exhibition “ATOMEXPO 2013”.
